The weather was just outstanding for our day trip to Akaroa today! I can't believe it's winter.
今日はアカロアに行きました。冬の季節には珍しく好天でした。
We stopped at the top of the hill with the Akaroa harbour behind us.
アカロアを見下ろす峠の駐車場に停車して記念撮影。
As soon as we got out of the bus the cameras were out and taking pictures.
アカロアに到着し、皆撮影開始。

Then after a some free time to walk around the village we got on our boat.

Leaving the village and heading out the harbour towards the Pacific Ocean. We were in search of the a speical animal that lives in these waters.
ドルフィンです。ここのイルカは少し小ぶりです。湾を少し出るとそこは太平洋。
Not too long into the tour we found them. These are Hector's dolphin. The smallest dolphin species on the planet and they are only found in the waters near New Zealand.
ヘクター、という種類のイルカで、世界でも一番小さい種類です。
They were so speedy it was hard to get a shot.
泳ぎは早く、中々撮影しにくいイルカです。

We cruised to Akaroa port enjoying the view and the stunning weather. We couldn't have been luckier to have such a great day to experience the beauty of New Zealand together.
この湾の前方に見える所からドルフィン・ウオッチングに行く船に乗りました。幸運にも天気にも恵まれました。
