A very busy Monday and it's not over yet so let's get into it!
とても忙しい月曜日ですが、がんばっていきましょう。
Everyone had English in the morning with Hana-sensei and Yogeetha-sensei who give a real English lesson that is challenging, but fun.
今日は研修生全員でHana先生とYogeetha先生の英語のレッスンを受けました。
むずかしいけど、楽しいレッスンです。
This was a listening and drawing exercise that it always fun to watch.

リスニングをして聞こえた通りに絵を描く練習です。壁に貼ってあるのがその絵です。
After lunch Dr Jamieson gave the girls a talk about nursing then there was a lesson from a school nurse. You can read more about that in the students' blogs.

I took the food and nutrition students to De Spa Chocolatier. Famous in New Zealand, De Spa sells chocolates nationwide and makes them all in their small shop in Christchurch.
食物関係学科の学生たちはＮＺで有名なDe Spa Chocolatierを訪問。NZに全国展開しているチョコレートのお店で、すべてのチョコはここクライストチャーチの小さなこのお店で作られています。
We got a very interesting talk about the history of Chocolate and what makes Belgium style chocolate the best. Nicola and I both learned a lot, so I'm sure the studnets did also.
チョコレートの歴史について興味深いお話しが聞けました。引率者の二コラと私、デイビッドは沢山学ぶことがありました。学生たちも同じだと思います。
These are cherry chocolates that are steeped in brandy before they are dipped in the chocolate. They look good... and dangerous! They can sell 1,500 of these during the Christmas period.
これはブランデー漬けされたチェリーチョコです。おいしそう・・・クリスマスの期間だけで１５００個も売れるそうです。
We also got hot chocolates and waffles!

The de Spa mascot is this Santa made of chocolate that has survived all the earthquakes.
このお店のマスコットは地震にも壊れなかったチョコレートでできたサンタクロースです。

Since de Spa was just down the street from Sumner beach we took a short drive there to enjoy the view.
お店はSumnerビーチから近かったので、こちらにも立ち寄ってきました。

On the way back we stopped of and got a new memory card for the camera and now I'm going to join a Japanese language class for an hour and help out. A busy, but fun, day! See you tomorrow.
