申し訳ありませんが、時間がないのでこのままアップします。後日解説をつけます。

Big day today...

First we joined a Japanese lesson on the UC Campus

The students got to practice their English and help the UC students practice there Japanese in a casual atmosphere that helped both groups. They talked a lot about why they were studying English or Japanese. Thank you Ogino-sensei for the opportunity!

As the UC studnets left we passed out a small gift of some Japanese candies and flyers for the Oceania Programme this December. Hopefully one of these students can come to SWU later this year.

After the Japanese lesson we had our last lesson with Judy sensei.

I think everyone was just about to cry it was so sad to say good bye. Judy-sensei was an outstanding teacher and just a wonderful person. She really did care for and enjoy teaching our students. These lessons have formed the foundation of the programme this year.

Thank you Judy-sensei!

After dinner we went stargazing. Here are some photos of the beautiful southern hemisphere sky and the Christchurch city lights.

Here's a picture looking south at the Southern Cross. Can you see it near the middle of the picture?

Here's a zoom shot of the Southern Cross.

Here is a view looking north towards the city.
